Student Registration & Transfer Requests

We look forward to welcoming new students and families to the Montroyal community. Student registration and transfer requests are managed centrally through the North Vancouver School District.

New Student Registration

New student registration is for:

  • Students moving to North Vancouver from another school district

  • Students transferring from a private or independent school

  • Children registering for Kindergarten

  • Students who have not previously attended an NVSD school

New student registrations are completed online. Families should use the NVSD School Locator to confirm their catchment school before beginning the registration process.

Please have digital copies of all required identification, proof of address and registration documents ready before beginning the online application.

Transfer Requests

Transfer requests are for students who are currently registered at an NVSD school and wish to attend a different school within the North Vancouver School District.

Transfer applications must be submitted in person to NVSD Central Registration. Families must complete the required transfer form, gather the original supporting documents and book an appointment with Central Registration.

Submitting a transfer request does not guarantee placement. Requests are considered according to district procedures, the student’s place of residence and available space, facilities, resources and programs.
