Driving to School
The streets surrounding Montroyal can become very busy during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Families who drive are asked to use extra care, patience and consideration to help keep students, staff and neighbours safe.
Please remember to:
-
Slow down and remain alert in the school zone
-
Follow all posted traffic and parking signs
-
Keep crosswalks, intersections and driveways clear
-
Avoid U-turns and three-point turns near the school
-
Have children enter and exit the vehicle from the curb side whenever possible
-
Allow extra time during busy arrival and dismissal periods
-
Be respectful of neighbouring homes and properties
Families are encouraged to walk, cycle or park a short distance away and walk to school whenever possible. Students travelling by bicycle or scooter should wear a helmet, follow traffic rules and walk their wheels while on school grounds.
Thank you for helping make arrival and dismissal safer for everyone in our Montroyal community.
